The list of extracurricular activities available at Flagler Palm Coast High School is incredible. If I were to recommend three extracurriculars for students to participate in, they would definitely be the Student Government Association (SGA), Future Problem Solvers, and Interact Club. Not only does being involved with SGA give students a chance to beef up their resumes, but it also gives students the high school experience of a lifetime. They'll learn the importance of team work, passion and dedication - which definitely gives them an advantage when colleges are looking at them; and gives them a behind-the-scenes look at the different events and festivities that are showcased at the school.
It's one thing to be a good club, and it's a completely different one to be a great club - and Future Problem Solvers undeniably meet the standards of a great club. This club helps students to not only hone in on their writing skills, but also gives them an opportunity to think critically of major social issues from around the world - for example: is social media negatively affecting real life interactions?
Interact Club is another great option at Flagler Palm Coast High School. It's the student branch of the globally-recognized Interact Club whose mission is to eradicate polio in third-world countries. Through the Interact Club, students will have the opportunity to give back to the community and complete three different projects. One that affects the local area, one that affects the nation, and one international project.
