-Great sense of community, all students seem very open to hanging out with a wide range of personalities - Incredibly diverse. You find people from all different backgrounds and ethnicities. -The teachers seem to genuinely care. I've been to a private school that was several times more expensive where I felt the teachers didn't have the same almost personal interest in you're success

WCSU is a reasonably priced school. Someone who doesn't have all that much money but wants to go to college will be able to afford this school. WCSU has a very helpful staff, if you need help understanding your financial aid or changing your schedule you can easily do so with their supportive staff. Lastly, WCSU has caring professors that will make sure they are teaching at a pace everyone can follow. The professors are my favorite part of WCSU, they are always available to help me and are easy to talk to. For example, my first semester anthropology professor wrote me a very personal recommendation letter for me, she set up a meeting with me so she can personalize the letter and sent it to me first to OK it. She was very genuine and encouraging in the letter. The teachers at WCSU are also very understanding and just want to help you grasp the material.

Since WCSU is a state school, residents of Connecticut receive a lower tuition than out of state students. However, the out of state tuition is also set at an affordable price compared to private universities. Lastly, Western Connecticut State University's students come together as a community. There are no cliques at this school and everyone is very accepting of each other. These three traits make a great school that anyone should attend.

The location is great. While Danbury is only about an hour and a half from NYC, it doesn't have the same pace as the city. But there are a lots of fun places to go to eat, shop and have fun in the area. The University is well known by the community and people have a great feedback from it. The University offers many courses and has a great structure.
