Stephen Campana, Hofstra University Noodle Ambassador
There are a few secrets to surviving freshman year at Hofstra. First, do not overuse your meal plan points. By the end of the semester, you do not want to spend the last two weeks without any meal plan money. This will cause you to have to pay with cash or credit and meals are more expensive when you do not use your meal plan. Another secret would be to get to know your advisor. Set up appointments with him or her before you make your schedule for each new semester. They will help you sign up for classes that fit the qualifications that are needed for students to graduate. I would also suggest ordering books online and trying to sell them back to the bookstore on campus. It is a great way to get textbooks for a much cheaper price.
