I think anyone should attend Dimond. It's a great place to be, to learn, and to thrive. My school has done such a great job of creating a positive and supportive community that encourages all students to be their best. So, if anybody doesn't want to reach their full potential, then maybe they shouldn't come to Dimond. But, honestly, who doesn't?

Dimond High School is ethnically diverse and does not tolerate prejudice among students or staff. There are other high schools in Anchorage that are known for specific student stereotypes such as the "rich kids" on the South side or "ghetto" on the East side. A student who has an overinflated sense of entitlement or who elevates themselves above others will likely find themselves unhappy and disliked at Dimond High School. One who cannot see value in others, is more self focused than community minded, or considers fashion, popularity, etc. to be their focus would stand out in a negative way and generally feel discontent in their peer group.

Some one who does not like a diverse learning environment and may be someone who is not planning on going to college after high school
