I attend this college through online courses. That being said this college is wonderful the the busy parent. I am a mother of two boys. My oldest son started college this year. My youngest was diagnosed with Autism at the age of four. I have had tro stay home and care for him to ensure he got the services he needed. Today is doing wonderful. I am in my senior year of college and hoping to work with children with special needs.

The typical National University student is someone who has tried another career, is a parent, or was in the military. The normal student is more mature and focused. This allows them to withstand the pressure of the accelerated pace.

A national student is dedicated, career driven, and has big plans for their future. They work hard now so they can play hard later. They are intelligent and punctual, with a strong willpower to succeed.

The typical National University Student would have to be very motivated! The classes are only a month long, but they contain the same amount of work as a semester long class, which make them very fast-paced. Doing the work at home means that there are distractions that can keep you from doing your best, so you really have to be good at focusing to complete work that is good quality in an efficient manner. That means, these students, including myself, must be very dedicated to their goals. I have found if you want something bad enough, like I do the want to teach, you can put yourself to any test to try to achieve it.

A typical student at NU is an atypical student. The school offers an accelerated course for a AA, BA and an MA, and It has over 70 courses online. It is such a great program for people of all ages and backgrounds. A typical student stems from a high school graduate to a mother of 4 kids with a full time job. Myself, I am somewhere in the middle on account of being an undergraduate transfer student planning on achieving my BA and MA in psychology.

There is no "typical" National University student, and I believe that is part of the appeal. We come from different parts of the country with different backgrounds and experiences and that adds to the appeal of National University.
