Is the Bronx campus in a safe neighborhood?

...oops, I forgot. At the eastern border of the campus, at Southern Boulevard, you're directly across the street from both the NY Botanical Garden and the Bronx Zoo. So, as you can imagine, it's a pretty vital neighborhood.

Perfectly safe. The campus itself has a secured perimeter, and the neighborhood (also called "Fordham") is a bustling retail/residential district. You're two blocks from the restaurants and Italian markets on Arthur Avenue, and it's a short walk up Fordham Road (which is always full of people) to the D and #4 trains. Also, the Metro North trains run literally along the Western border of the campus, at 3rd avenue.
