Would you recommend attending Guajome Park Academy Charter if you had the choice? Why or why not?

Anonymous, Student, Guajome Park Academy Charter, Class of 2016

It depends on the person I am talking to. Every student, and every person, has different needs and there is no way a single school could address every individuals needs in one. If the person excels in sports and is looking for a more sports based school, I would tell them not to attend Guajome. The school, based on my experiences, does not direct its attention to sports but places an emphasis on academics. I would also not suggest attending if the person does not wish to pursue higher level classes. The school's specialty is the IB courses, most 2 year courses, and doesn't offer many choices in normal classes or electives. Guajome is not the place to go if you're looking for Friday night football games and extremely specialized courses. Guajome is excellent for the academic achiever more so than the athlete, and for the person that requires a comfortable and personal connection with their peers. Depending on what someone is looking for, Guajome can be a disappointment or the perfect fit.
