We are considering a move to the Chapel Hill area and are interested in Carolina Friends School. Are there any parents who currently have children at the school or have had them there in the past 5 years? What are your thoughts? Thank you

This is our 9th year at the school: we have 2 boys who started in kindergarden and they are now in 8th and 3rd grade. We have been very happy here: the boys have thrived and it is a lovely parent community. I"m happy to answer more questions if you would like, Helenstrong text

Hi. We are currently parents of two kids at Friends and only have great things to say about it. Our children are in the lower school and middle school. The teachers are enthusiastic, loving and intelligent. The administration is thoughtful and collaborative. Overall the community is excellent and we know that our children are thriving through the holistic and mindful way that Friends guides and teaches them.

While we wait for responses from other parents to come in, I can try to point you towards some useful resources. Carolina Friends School's Noodle Profile has some statistical info on enrollment and student teacher ratios, which can be an important concern when choosing a place for your child to attend.

Additionally, the school's website has detailed information on admissions, programs, services, and upcoming events. If you haven't done so already, I definitely recommend checking it out. The school's Facebook page features news and current events, as well as comments from current students and parents. This could be an easy way to get a sense of the general atmosphere as well as what parents think of the teachers and the facility.

Private School Review has general information on the CFS, as well as a few reviews from parents.

Hopefully these resources can tide you over while you wait for parent responses. If you're still in the process of finding a school, don't forget that you can revise your search on Noodle to include only the results that meet you and your family's needs.

Best of luck and feel free to check in or ask a follow up any time you like!
