Student, Manual Arts Senior High School, Class of 2015,
College Ambassadors: The college ambassador program is a club/program that I highly recommend for Manual Arts seniors because we are able to get trained in college applications, finical aid applications, register for exams such as the SAT/ACT, and other college related topics. We are able to help other seniors that are not familiar with college because most of us are first generation students. This gives students the opportunity to get prepare for college and also help our peers get to college.
First Responders Club: The First Responders Club is a club that trains students to become prepare when ever they are faced with a medical emergency. We are trained in CPR and Frist Aid. This gives students the knowledge about what to do and how to approach a scene when faced with a medical emergency. We are students who are willing to helps others in need!
Academic Decathlon: Academic Decathlon is a team at MAHS in which students must rigorously study seven subjects all under one theme. Here, students learn about how they learn and study more efficiently. Students are also prepared to create and do speeches; they must prepare a speech about any subject they feel strong about and present it in a formal and professional way. They also must prepare for an interview; they learn skills that make a great interview and the best way to present themselves.
