What are the top 3 reasons someone should attend Monterey Institute of International Studies?

The school is its own mini-world. Walk across campus and you will hear a dozen different languages being spoken. Make friends from all over the world and get them to teach you how to make your favorite dishes from their home countries. Pick up languages you've always wanted to learn just by engaging with the people around you. With such a diverse and interesting population (located next to a beach in California no less!), there is really no excuse to be bored. Every day is filled with learning and fun.

The school atmosphere is also incredible. Maybe its the sunny California weather, but even the air on campus feels energetic and alive. Optimism and opportunity abound. The small class sizes ensure that students feel engaged in learning. The professors are friendly, knowledgeable and they make the effort to connect with their students. Student ambassadors, counselors and professors all take keen interest in each student's goals and plans for the future. They are with you every step of the way as you strive to turn that goal into a reality.

The education is obviously top-notch. Students graduate with the keys to succeed in their dreams. They leave MIIS prepared to make a mark on the world whether it be in a non-profit organization in South America, an international business venture in China, a charter school in Kenya or the US government as an interpreter. A student at MIIS also learns how to think differently. She knows that her paradigm of the world is not the only one and she has the ability and the willingness to look at the world through the eyes of someone who may seem very different from her.
