They should desire to grow in their personal relationship with the Lord. They should have a desire to serve and love others right where they are at spiritually. Also, potential students should have a strong desire to learn, excel, and have a biblical worldview.

If you're looking for a cloistered, elitist college where everyone focuses on themselves and interacts with no one, the University of Northwestern is not for you. The first few days I spent on campus were like coming home to a family I had never known. The students were all serious about wanting to gain as much knowledge and wisdom as they could, and yet they were responsible and up-to-date enough that they could take time to kickback and play some Apples to Apples, run down to Olive Garden on their lunch breaks and talk with their friends (i.e. almost everyone). There is no school I would rather be at than the University of Northwestern, and even if a comparable school was offering a higher scholarship, I still couldn't bear to part with the high quality of both the faculty and student body.

I feel that a typical UNW student is a person who wants to grow in their faith, and wants an education that will continue to grow that faith. Most of the students are outgoing, and willing to hangout if you show an interest in them. Overall, I want to be like my classmates at UNW because most live out what it means to be a christian. (They do not just talk the talk).
