The most popular club at GBN is Key Club, which is a community service club. Student government is also a popular activity. After being on both the Junior and Senior class board, I understand how rewarding getting to plan the events that occur at your school is. The next most popular extracurricular is the newly founded Spartan Spirit Squad, which promotes GBN spirit all around school! I highly recommend all of these three, as well as Spartan Buddies, which allows students to be paired with students who have been diagnosed with disabilities and build friendships over the course of their high school careers and beyond.

The three most popular extracurriculars are Key Club, Lacrosse, and Football. I would recommend joining Cross Country because it is more boy-girl integrated than some of the other sports and so it gives you an even greater opportunity to meet new people. Another great sport to consider would be soccer because not only does it provide an excellent workout, but the team is very close and acts as a support group. For students who might not be as interested in athletics, a club I would highly recommend would be Global Citizens Club. This club is all about raising money and supporting various causes from around the globe. First, as a group, you study the current global crises. Later, every member gets time to cast a vote for the cause they feel is most worthy of the groups support. Whichever cause gets the most votes, the group focuses their money raising efforts on.
