A typical day would be the student wakes up 10 to 15 minutes before class starts, rolls out of bed, gets dressed and walks to class. They attend a class or 2 before meeting up with friends either at Chipotle or at Trabant. If underage, they drink secretly in a dorm. Of they are of age, they head out to the bars for the night. After a night of drinking, they stumble back to their dorm and go to sleep until the cycle starts over.

A typical University of Delaware student is hardworking, driven, and passionate. Every Blue Hen knows that in order to get where they want to go, they need to work hard at what they do. The professors would agree that students at the University of Delaware have the drive to achieve their dreams, and then the passion to follow them through and become what they've always dreamed of.

The typical UD student is very active- double majors and triple majors are very common here. We raise puppies on campus as service dogs and we love being active in the community by having petitions, sales, info sessions and more. If you like interacting with people then UD is perfect for you.

The best part about UD is that there is no "one type" of student profile. While walking to class you can see kids in their pj's, girls & guys decked out in their Greek letters, preppy students, nerdy students, sporty students, and everything in between. People actually appreciate other people based on their intellectual abilities and personalities.

A typical student at the University of Delaware is someone who takes a lot of pride in their school and is not afraid to let that be known. The students do very well academically but also enjoy letting loose and having fun. Everyone on the campus is very open and friendly. When a student attends the university they should expect to be approached by other students or alumni even when they are not at school. A special bond forms when you see someone else wearing UD gear and everyone has nothing but great things to say about the school when they hear its name.

I think that any type of person could attend the University of Delaware. There are so many diverse students and opportunities to make friends, join clubs, and meet new people. Whether you be into fitness, research, gaming, or music, there are plenty of ways to make your mark at the university. I think in order to be successful and enjoy the university to its fullest, you should be social because you are always with other people.

The typical University of Delaware student is fairly laid back, dedicated to their academics, and adventurous. At UD it is typical for students to dress nicely for classes. Students actively participate in clubs and attend various athletic events year round. The school spirit is tangible, particularly during the first few football games of the semester.

A typical UD student is without a doubt always up to try something new, and have a good time. When you think of large colleges and universities, the one in Delaware often doesn't cross your mind. So if you do make the decision to come to UD its great to be 100% open minded and willing to explore all that the university has to offer. You can miss out on a lot if you don't take chances and try new things. For example, I received and email last year about an opportunity to join the Women's Rowing team. I went to the interest meeting, and low and behold I became one of the members of UD's Women's Rowing team. Despite the fact that rowing was not something I wanted to commit to for the rest of my time at UD it was an experience I would do over and over again. I have made some amazing friends through the team and had I not tried something new I would have missed out on so many great times. Honestly, I think it's imperative to be open minded regardless of what college or university you attend because there are so many opportunities you will miss out on if you aren't willing to try something new.

A Delaware student is a focused, studious individual. They attend classes regularly and spend their weeknights in the library in study groups. But, they also know how to enjoy life; they stay up on weekend nights and order pizza with their floormates while watching movies on Netflix, they attend late night parties at the Trabant Student Center, and enjoy their afternoon brunches in the dining hall surrounded by their friends.

The typical University of Delaware student is outgoing and hardworking. You will find hundreds of students in Morris Library at 2am pulling all-nighters before exams but that's because UD students work hard for good grades. Anyone looking to go to school at the University of Delaware should have a friendly personality as well as an overachieving attitude. On the weekends, you will find students relaxing on the Independence turf soaking up the sun and relaxing after a week of hard work.

A University of Delaware student could be one of two people. Some students here are very intelligent and spend a lot of time studying and earning difficult STEM degrees. The other students are hard core parties who never seem to have any work at all. All UD students, however, are proud to call themselves Blue Hens and wouldn't want to be anywhere else.

Very outgoing and friendly. Last year I went to a different school, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and the biggest difference I noticed between the two schools I attended was the personalities of most of the students. At RPI, the campus was much quieter and introverted, and this year and I am very happy to be a part of a college community that is for the most part genial and extroverted.
