Student, Independence High School, Class of 2016,
Over the years, I saw that with strong leadership and organization, certain clubs have managed to accumulate a lot of membership. In my first two years, one of the most popular clubs was ARK (acts of random kindness) which i had attended a few times myself. The club's environment was always very welcoming and positive and there was a sense of community, thanks to the officers, the meetings and events were always well planned. Once officers graduated, I saw this club die out early on in my junior year which was sad to see. Other clubs such as Interact and Key Club remained popular throughout my years because they offer volunteer hours along with a positive environment and strong sense of community, given these clubs were not unique to my school. Other than volunteer clubs, I noticed Tahitian Dance Club was a very popular club to join end even a fair amount of male members. The unique thing about this club was that even with shaky leadership and complications (e.g. drama amongst members/club officers) the club proceeded to have a strong number of members and success in performances.
