A typical NJIT student possesses an insurmountable passion for what he or she does. Outside of advancing their professional endeavors, students at NJIT have fun by exploring their non-academic passions through dance contests, hack-a-thons, ultimate frisbee games, and video game tournaments. A typical student is eclectic, engaging in a variety of activities, professional and personal, to become a better student, professional, and person. A typical NJIT student juggles the ball of social life with school work. Most of the time, there will be stress when one of the balls is about to fall out the of the student's hands. He or she will regain control and after exams, the person will have great relief. A person with a passion for learning a specific major and will work hard at it should attend NJIT. The person must not only have a drive to learn, but also the will power to power through the weeks with little to no leisure. NJIT costs relatively less compared to other colleges for a similar education so the person could also be financially handicapped to attend NJIT.
