From a teacher perspective, the online classes make University of the Cumberlands an ideal choice. Also, the GRE is not required. Finally, teachers are understanding of student situations. They realize that we work full-time and have a life outside of college.

I think for me it was just enough distance from my home to really be my own person. It is a great but small community and everyone is just so friendly. We have a very secure campus and out teachers and administrators are just like our friends.... we are all close. The other neat part is just because we are small college does not mean we are limited on college sports....we play all of the major sports, we have several very good teams, and you still get to experience the fun of a Saturday football game and the rivalries that have developed over the years.

If you are looking for a small school then most definitely this is for you. You do become pretty close with everyone since it is a small campus so you will see everyone many times. Playing sports is a big reason many people attend UC. There are many to chose from and the coaches and staff are great and will help to improve you skills. New experiences, college opens your mind to many more things that are happening in everyday life. They will open your mind to different community problems and you are able to work with children and volunteer.
