What are the top 3 things that students do for fun at University of Connecticut?

Because UConn is mainly surrounded by farmland, I expected most of my nights at school just in my dorm room. I honestly didn't expect that there would be much to do, but the university actually does a pretty good job ensuring that there are some sort of activity, presentation, club meeting, or event happening. Every Friday night there is event that goes on called Late Night, which is basically a night where there are several activities set up through out the Student Union. A lot of kids tend to go to Late Night either to get food, watch people sing Karaoke, get free stuff, or whatever themed activity is there that night. Besides Late Night, because there are so many clubs and organizations on campus, a lot of students also attend those for fun. For example, my roommate joined the Ultimate Frisbee team and I joined More for Art, which is a club where people get together to make crafts. Besides the club or organization meetings, a lot of the clubs and organizations also hold a lot of events and honestly, a good decent amount of kids always go. I recently went to a Kwanzaa dinner held by the African American Cultural Center the Friday before Winter break started. It was a very interesting event and a good learning experience because I wasn't familiar with the holiday.

At the University of Connecticut we pride ourselves on three things, all of which are fun. Attending basketball games as a Husky is a passion of ours. In the Spring semester, we host an 18 hour dance marathon to raise money for the Connecticut Children's Medical Center (last year we raised almost $500,000) that is always extremely lively and fun. And lastly, if you are really looking for a fun time you can always go to the Student Union during the weekend for Late Night where you can participate in themed activities, and make cool things or even stuff a Husky!

The top 3 things that students do for fun at University of Connecticut are attend the men's and women's basketball games, eat bacon jalepeno mac and cheese, and look for Jonathon the Husky.

1) Go to the Student Union (especially for Late Night on Friday and Saturday), it's a huge building in the middle of our huge campus that has everything (movie showings, food courts, lounges, computer rooms, a ball room, a lot of student service offices) 2) Go to games and show off their husky pride. Basketball and football are the most popular but all sports have good attendance. 3) Join a Learning Community, each one has members with similar interests that do on-campus activities together and they go on field trips.

I can't speak for everyone but the general things to do for fun would be partying, participating in your favorite club, or playing sports whether club or intramural.

They drink the alcohols. They copulate like rabbits. And they use more cocaine than Tony Montana could ever hope to supply.

Most people will have fun at parties. Then allot of people will enjoy having fun at all the campus activities that UCONN offers like the sports games. And lastly people just like to hang out and chill around the campus.

The top three things students do for fun are, going to any sports game whether its football, hockey or basketball and visiting our own dairy barn and getting some home made ice cream. Of course there's shopping at local stores and the co-op, but I think ordering a delivery of cookies at mid-night beats that.

At UConn all the students love attending the sporting events especially the basketball games. At the Student Union there are a lot of activities to do with friends and make new friends. Also the Dairy Bar has the best ice cream on campus, so every student should look forward to that.

The top three things that students do for fun at the University of Connecticut is go to Student Union Late Night. They can join a flag football team (or another recreational sport). And of course, attend basketball games!

The top 3 things in my opinion are : hanging out by mirror lake for a peaceful break to read and relax or have great conversation with friends, go to the William Benton Museum of Art and last but not least, enjoy live music at Storrs Center.

1. Go to the Dairy Bar! The Dairy Bar supplies dozens of delicious ice cream flavors that are made on site. It is fun to go there and stroll around Horsebarn Hill while enjoying nature and your ice cream.
2. Attend a basketball game at Gampel and watch our men's and women's teams win more national championships!
3. Play on an intramural soccer, basketball, water polo, or other fun team!

The University of Connecticut has the BEST women's basketball team and attendance at the games is a priority of most of the students. They have a large campus filled with extracurricular activities, and most students enjoy the club sports and the visiting the many restaurants available on the campus.

3. Spending time with friends

On the weekends students can go to Late Night for fun. Late Night is a weekly event held in our student union and each week there is a different theme. On each themed night there will be karaoke, photo booths, arts and crafts, food, games, freebies and many other activities. Another fun thing to do at my school is to attend the sporting events. Some of the games are offered free for students and others are at a discounted price but regardless of the price tag every game has a high amount of school spirit/pride and that is priceless. Lastly going to events associated with various student organizations or cultural centers will always be a fun experience if the event offers something that you like to do or gives you the opportunity to try something new.

The first thing would be to join clubs or associations or frats to hang out with like minded people. The second thing is to hang out with friends at their dorms or at the rec center. Another would be the university sponsored events.

Unwind an read a kind note at mirror lake, while enjoying the breeze of the water. Enjoy the all the sport activities, whether its joining a sports club, or just supporting and attending a sport game. When its hot out, grabbing ice cream from the dairy bar to cool you down.

There is a ton of things to do on campus, and with such a diverse student body, it is difficult to compress the campuses most popular activities, so I will tell you the top three things that I like to do for fun at UConn. 1.) Go hiking/pet the farm animals at Horsebarn Hill. 2.) Watch the basketball team kill it at Gampel Pavillion and absorb the student body school spirit. 3.) Get involved in events run by different organizations on campus. Many people are involved with Spirit Week/Homecoming. There are always hidden treasures at UConn too, just waiting to be found. Recently, I discovered the rock-climbing wall on the second story of the gym. Me and a friend attended the training session and got certified to rock-climb any time we want!

1. Go to Late Night at the Student Union. (Free food and karaoke? I'm in!)

3. Sled down Horsebarn Hill in canoes. (But you didn't get it from me.)

Basketball season is a huge deal at UConn and students love going to the games for school spirit. In the fall and in the spring when its nice out, students enjoy playing games and sports outside. Last but not least, students love going out on weekends and having a good time partying with their friends.

Get involved in UConn Community Outreach! They have so many programs that help you give back, all the while creating friendships with such incredible peers.

People tend to do stuff that interests them most. You might hang out with friends and go out to eat, go to parties with friends, or play a sport you enjoy. Students also like to attend UCONN basketball games and support the teams.

First, we go to the gym. Then we have fun playing (and shoveling) all of the snow we get. Finally, we go crazy over our basketball teams because they are boss.

Since UConn is world known for its Men's and, most certainly, Women's basketball teams I have to say that the most fun activity for students to participate in would be going to home games at Gampel Pavilion. The school spirit during the games is overwhelming and makes us all feel like a part of the team which is an incredible experience. Another fun thing to do at UConn is go to Late Night which is held in our Student Union building every Friday and Saturday night. It is a great alternative for students who do not feel comfortable with college "partying" and offers fun activities such as karaoke, arts and crafts, photo booths, hypnotist shows and there is always great food. A third fun thing to do at UConn would be to take a trip to Horsebarn Hill, which is, in my opinion the most gorgeous place on campus; a beautiful view of farmland with plenty of cows, horses and barns. Either get up early before the sun to watch the sunrise or stay up later to see the sunset and the sky transform into immense blackness filled with stars. Our famous Dairy Bar is also located along Horsebarn Hill which has delicious ice cream that has milk from our very own cows!

The students of Uconn love attending sports events such as basketball. They also like to go to the Student Union on Friday and Saturday nights for Late Night events where you can play games or get free stuff. Lastly, Uconn students love to throw parties whether they are on campus, off campus, at a fraternity or sorority, or at one of the few bars nearby.

The top three things that students do for fun at the University of Connecticut are: (1) if of age, they go to the bars or clubs around, (2) they host social gatherings such as formal or fashion shows and (3) they attend sporting events because my school is a D1 athletic institution.

The school spirit at the University of Connecticut is amazing. We love to attend every sporting event, love to hang out at the cafes on campus, and of course spend time in our huge library!

Many people truly enjoy supporting the women's and men's basketball team, or other sport teams in general. There are a lot of plays to watch by the talented Uconn actors and actresses. Students also enjoy the nature or ice cream of Uconn at the horse barn or simply walking the beautiful paths between buildings.

At the University of Connecticut, students have fun by: 1. Socializing with old friends and meeting new people. 2. Attending basketball games and supporting the Huskies. 3. Hiking/exploring the surrounding (rural) area.

The first top thing that students do for fun at the University of Connecticut is go to a game. Most of the time, basketball and football games builds up the pride and hype on campus. Another top thing students do to have fun is Study Abroad. Every person I've encountered with who have studied abroad, always have positive things to say. My best friend is in Italy right now having the time of her life. Studying Abroad is a life-changing experience . It gives you a chance to learn about a variety of cultures and meet lots of great people. The third top thing students do to have fun at the University of Connecticut is joining an organization. This can be Fraternity/Sorority, team sport, academic related, etc. Getting involved in different organizations helped shaped me into the individual I am today.

At the University of Connecticut, students often find themselves with a rigorous course load, so we like to take some time off and enjoy the fun things that the university has to offer. Often referred to as the "basketball capital of the World," UConn has been winning both men's and women's' national championships since 1995. Supporting our fellow Huskies is a big part of our school spirit, so going to Gampel Pavillon and watching the games is one of the top things for students to do. For students who are looking for a more quiet night on campus, the student union offers Late Night where students can participate in karaoke and other themed events or just grab a bite to eat. Lastly, UConn has hundreds of clubs that anybody can join and get involved in. By doing so, students create lasting relationships and are given the opportunity to try something new, which is always fun.

The top three things that students do for fun at University of Connecticut are Q center is the place where you go for help, if you need helps with math or science. The writing center is the place where you go when you need help with your writing for your English class. And the last one is group study because you learn a lot and its fun to study with your friends.

While I currently attend a satellite campus in Waterbury, CT, we participate in extra-curricular activities such as Musical Presentations, Student Government and other activities to meet and greet fellow classmates.

They go to basketball or other sports games, go to Late Night at the Student Union, and attend concerts at Jorgensen.
