What is the assessment of student progress in statewide tests here? What tests are used, and how does the school do?

As a public school (albeit a charter school!), Renaissance Regional Leadership Charter School receives a state-issued report card just the same as other schools. The grade is based on students' performance in New Jersey Assessment of Skills and Knowledge (NJ ASK) not only with the state standard but also with peer institutions. Overall, the goals for student growth and academic achievement were met, but not the college readiness standard. However, the scores are much lower than state average. You can see the full report here, and it explains the rating in detail.

The school also follows the Common Core Standards as well.
