The top 3 things to do at SUNY New Paltz are most likely the outdoors aspects, the bars, and the clubs on campus. Many students who go here like to hike or rock climb on the weekends in the nearby mountains or on the rail trail in town. In addition, New Paltz has a great bar scene with something to do almost every night of the week. Finally, many students love to get involved with clubs on campus and participate in the many events their club schedules.

At State University of New York at New Paltz students organize sports games to encourage friendship building. Sports range from basketball to ultimate Frisbee. a student does not need to be on a sports team to participate in these events. If this is not what a student wishes to participate in they can entertain themselves with community volunteering. Helping the town of New Paltz in food distribution to those in need or in animal shelters. One of the best opportunities of having fun at New Paltz is through their immense diversity population. Due to its multi-cultural environment all students have the ability to speak with different people and join or create groups they feel comfortable in and that will push them towards reaching their goals.

Check out the nature! Hiking and swimming at Mohonk mountain and other surrounding mountains is one of, if not the, best things about the school! Go to town. The small town, locally owned feel of New Paltz is what sets it apart. Hang out with friends around campus. When the weather is good, students can be seen listening to music and playing games on the various quads around campus. It's a scene straight out of a movie.

Attend open mic cafe nights in the Student Union Building, do the Color Run across campus in the springtime, and shop at the on campus farmer's market held every Thursday.

We watch the student-run performances. We go for long walks and take in the local forestry. We find a group of friends because we know that you could always someone that you have something in common with and find a variety of ways.

This past semester New Paltz hosted a "Zombie Prom" which was a big hit. People are usually longboarding across campus and playing frisbee on the quads on a daily basis.

The top three things students do for fun is go into town to shop, go on trips through our school's Athletic and Wellness programs, and go to the rail trail or visit Minnewaska State Park.

There's a lot of fun and exciting things to do at SUNY New Paltz. For one, it is located in the beautiful state of New York! Students love to hike, and adventure to places such as the Mohunk Preserve, Skytop Tower, and the Lemon Squeeze. This is something I'm very excited about when attending New Paltz in the fall. There are many different hiking and sight seeing places that New Paltz and many neighboring towns have to offer! Other activities students do for fun in walking down town. New Paltz has a small town area with strips of stores, and restaurants. On a nice night, people will walk into town together to enjoy some good food and good times with friends. The last most popular thing that I believe the students do in New Paltz is participate in clubs, and enjoy what the campus has to offer when classes are not in session. There are over one hundred different clubs offered on campus. Personally I will be a part of three or four different clubs at New Paltz. There are also about fourteen dorms on campus where a lot of social interactions happen. There is always something fun happening at New Paltz and everyone is very involved as a student body!

Students at State University of New York at New Paltz love to go to the mountains! We travel to the Mohonk Mountain House and follow scenic trails with beautiful views. Students at SUNY New Paltz also love to take a dip with friends in the Wallkill River Valley in their spare time. The third and most unique way to have fun in New Paltz is rappelling. Rappelling is a a big attraction here, students like to rappel down steep cliffs whenever they get the chance.

The top three things that students do for fun at SUNY New Paltz include: exploring the nature that surrounds the campus (for example, hiking on Mohonk Mountain), hosting social events on campus that allows everyone to be a part of it, and just spending time with friends doing anything fun (like going into town to eat or explore).

You will never find yourself bored at the State University of New York at New Paltz because there are always fun events going on around campus! Students love to support their varsity teams at New Paltz's home court. Teams from SUNY schools all over the state come to play in basketball, soccer and volleyball games at New Patlz and the team spirit is enormous. Another activity students do for fun is attend talent shows. New Paltz is home to numerous dance teams and singing groups. So every month, these groups would get together and put on a show! Thousands of students attend these events monthly. Lastly, SUNY New Paltz students hosts spring concerts annually starring popular artists like Miguel, Jason Derulo, Panic at the Disco and more! Thousands of students look forward to the event every year and it is always successful.

The number one activity that practically every student tries at least once is cliff Diving in the Mohonk Preserve. The school sits right on the edge of a gorgeous mountain range so it is easy to get to. The second thing students do is go apple and pumpkin picking. The campus is surrounded by handfuls of farms and orchards that have berry picking and farm most of the year. The last thing is simply walk around Main Street. The town offers such an eccentric mixture of restaurants and local restaurants that are incredibly hard to resist.
