Like most graduate programs in business, the full-time MBA at the Opus College of Business requires students to submit an official GMAT or GRE score report; the GMAT is preferred for students who have yet to take either exam. In addition, two professional letters of recommendation are required, and at least two years of work experience are preferred. A bachelor’s degree is required, but undergraduate major is not a factor; students with previous coursework in business may be able to waive some prerequisite classes, but that coursework doesn’t make it any easier to get into the program in the first place.
Students in the Opus MBA program typically come from fairly strong academic and professional backgrounds. The average GPA on a 4.0-point scale is 3.21, and the average GMAT score is 564. With an average age of 27, most students in the program have spent some time in the workforce prior to resuming their studies, but it’s not impossible for exceptionally academically qualified students to be accepted straight out of undergrad.
