A person who has a love for sports because we have a lot of school pride in our sports. Also someone who is a hard worker and knows how to utilize the resources set before them.

If you have school spirit, a (southern) kind heart, and a winning smile, USC is the perfect University. Many high school students do not know what they want to do but at USC we have Carolina Core classes which can help the student prepare for the future and choose which direction he/she wants to follow.

A typical University of South Carolina student in high school was most likely outgoing and comfortable with meeting new people. Being as huge of a campus as South Carolina is, the large student body makes for friendly students. South Carolina students were most likely highly involved in their high school, through sports or clubs or activities and carry that with them to college.

With a total of 31,964 students and 24,180 (in fall of 2013) of those undergraduates, students arrive with their own unique high school experience. 65% of students are from South Carolina from all 46 counties in the state. 35% are from out of state. There are students from every part of high school. Valedictorians, honor students, band players, sport jocks and the average everyday student like myself. USC attracts all these different kinds of people and offers so much for everyone including 85 undergraduate degrees, an honors college and over one hundred clubs, organizations and sport clubs. The type of person that should attend USC should be someone that wants to learn, have amazing opportunities and have tons of support from the school.
