Students visit the Atudent Activity Center and participate in different activities designed to make Stony Brook a community where fun is encouraged. I also find the football games to be a ton of fun! Lots of students get together to cheer on their favorite teams. one of the greatest things to do is participate in the annual competition of carboard boats. Boats are created to battle each other out and see which can survive the longest.

Stony Brook students are extremely diverse. They have many different interests and each student's definition of fun is different. The top three things I think Stony Book students do for fun are work out at the rec center, join clubs relating to their majors, and meeting up with friends to get food at the SAC (Student Activities Center).
There are many dance groups at Stony Brook University. Though it is a science school many music and Capella groups exist as well. Stony Brook offers free entrance to sports events for students and discounted tickets to performances.
1) Join clubs, there are so many to choose from! 2) Go to events, there are many exciting things to do every weekend as well. 3) Hangout on the Staller steps and enjoy time with friends.
Fun at Stony Brook University revolves around the weather. Frisbee and laying out on the Staller Steps is common in the late Spring and early Fall. Exercising at the new recreation center and going on sponsored ski trips up north are the top activities of the Winter. And you cannot leave out our school's Quidditch team, which practices year round in the field next to the physics building!
At Stony Brook University, many students tend to join clubs. The clubs are usually things students are interested in or clubs that are related to their familial background or a sport they play. Students also plays sports and create/ take part in events to make the campus more enjoyable.
The top three things to do at Stony Brook are to Visit Port Jefferson, play and attend sporting events, and build and sail a boat annually at Roth Regatta.
There aren't many things that are fun at Stony Brook, but when the weather is nice, people like to sit at the Staller Steps where they can enjoy the sun as well as have fun with friends. There are seasonal concerts at Stony Brook. In the Spring, they have what we call Brookfest, where we invite singers/bands to our school to perform, like a concert. At the beginning of the semester, we have homecoming and majority of the students stay on campus for the Seawolves spirit while watching the game.
The most fun thing to do would be going to club events. The cultural clubs seem to be the most active on campus. They always have big events with dancing, singing, and other live performances. There's also plenty of events with free food which is a great incentive to go especially if you're out of meal points. Secondly, would probably going to open mics. It's always exciting to see the kind of talent that exists on campus. If you would like to perform, you could do that as well. Lastly, if you just want to relax you can always just hangout at Staller Steps, where you can sit, eat your lunch, or play some frisbee.

The top three things that students do for fun at Stony Brook University is play Frisbee on the steps by the Staller Center, go to a live performance at the Staller Center for example The Producers, and watch the Seawolves games.

From my experience, students at Stony Brook University like to go to clubs or parties, hang out together and watch movies. They also like eating out at the local restaurants.
Going to sporting events (especially things like homecoming), hanging out on the Staller Steps when it's nice out, hanging out with friends in dorms when it's not.

Hang out on the Staller Steps: These steps are all about unity. Undergraduates, graduate students, physics majors, liberal arts majors, Greek Life members, band members, and so many more kinds of people hang out on these grass-filled steps. Every Wednesday (as long as it's decently nice out) at one o'clock, you can expect a mass of bodies overflowing the huge Staller Center steps. There is music coming from portable speakers, laughter and sun. How can someone not love that?
Stony Brook Football Games: We are Seawolves! What is a seal wolf? Nobody really knows but you would never think that if you heard us screaming at one of the fall Football games. Homecoming, especially, is a beautiful time for everyone. The stadium and the areas all around are filled with red and white- our school colors. There is tailgating and so much spirit present. Many families and Stony Brook Alumni come out to support our football team. Although we have never made it to the "real" finals, our spirit makes us comparable to the top schools.
Attend events hosted by different clubs and organizations: There are man-pangeants, singing competitions, belly dance performances and so much more at stony brook. It's funny because we are known to be a commuter school, however there is still so much to do on campus. Stony Brook sends out weekly SBU Life e-mails about what is going on that week. There are drive-in movies and much, much more.
As a division 1 school, students at Stony Brook gather for sporting events, namely football and basketball games, especially for big games like homecoming. Near the end of the year, there is also an event known as Roth Regatta at which several teams compete to create the most durable and fast boat, out of cardboard and duct tape, to get to the other side of Roth Pond. Lastly, there are several clubs and organizations which Stony Brook students have the opportunity to take part in, as a way to have fun and meet new people.
Go to the campus recreation center. Go to crafts night every Tuesday night. Attend weekend events like a game or a movie screening etc.
The top 3 things students do for fun at Stony Brook University are participating or attending Basketball or Football games and cheering on our fellow Seawolves, working out at the astonishing new recreation center, and participating in campus events or clubs such as the Roth Pong Roggetta where students build cardboard boats and attempt to float a cross the pond without sinking.
Stony Brook University has an extremely passionate student body. The major thing people do for fun at SBU is attend sporting events, ranging from football to softball. Another thing that students do for fun is attend the campus tradition events which include; Brookfest (spring concert), Strawberry Festival, Earthstock, Wolfstock (homecoming week), Roth Regatta (cardboard boat racing). The last thing that students do for fun is Relay for Life. The student body has consistently raised thousands of dollars towards cancer research, a lot of which that goes straight to Stony Brook's own cancer research center
Attending sporting events, participating in the various clubs on campus, and helping in community outreach programs.
They eat a lot of food. They take the bus or shuttle to the nearby hang out spots (restaurants or shopping mall). They study! because everyone wants to graduate with good grades! ;)

Play sports- students at Stony Brook play many different sports. There are dance groups, martial arts, basketball, baseball and many others sports. Students at Stony Brook simply love to just hang out with their friends. Sometimes that is done in their dorms, sometimes at many different places around the campus like Starbucks, Cafeteria or just laying on the grass. Stony Brook students like all other students also love to hang out with friends and go to bars around the neighborhood.
Have a study session/picnic on Staller Steps. Attend multicultural functions (Stony Brook is really diverse) Late night walks at the water fountain.
One thing that students do for fun at Stony Brook University is just hang out with friends, whether that be just walking around talking or listening to music. Another thing that students do for fun is go to clubs, with the vast amount of clubs there are at Stony Brook University there is always something to do. A third thing that students at Stony Brook University does as well as many other colleges is party and have a good time where they can just forget about the stress involved with going to college.
Firstly, students attend some of the hundreds of clubs and extra curricular events like Humans vs Zombies or Quidditch club. Secondly, students may attend concerts sponsored by the school where artists such as 3lau, childish gambino and diplo come and perform. Thirdly, students attend shows held in the campus theatre such as a Bob Saget comedy show I recently attended.
