The only type of student that shouldn't attend Georgia Tech is one that doesn't like to work hard and does not enjoy solving difficult problems.

People who want the easy way out in life. College is hard anywhere you go but Georgia Tech is elite in being tough. Only the strong and relentless should approach this school.

If you are not willing to put time into learning and just want an easy college to sit through and cruise through life, go somewhere else, this is not the place for you.

Those who are narrow-minded or only wish to work in isolated settings will not gel well with the environment at Georgia Tech. Georgia Tech promotes hands-on, highly communicative and interactive learning in every class. Not a day goes by where I don't have to work with people in large groups, and of course, there is conflict, but we learn so much more about each other's viewpoints and become more informed and open-minded. In addition, if an individual expects something to be handed to him or her, those assumptions will immediately retaliated, because there is a huge concept of independence here: you have to search for your passion, find your happiness, explore different crowds and pick the one you feel most comfortable in, etc. The more closed off a person wants to be, the less they will belong here.

A student who expects to pass classes by getting a "curve" on grades should not attend Georgia Tech because the college prides itself on creating highly intelligent, superiorly confident, sought-after graduates whom are highly valuable to employers. Employers know to hire these graduates because they were challenged and not pushed along with curved grades. If you want to party all the time, don't apply here. The college is wonderfully filled with cool nerds. After all, "nerd" is the new "cool."
