I would say that there's not much of a typical student because everyone is different and Houston is a very multicultural and diverse school. The type of person that should attend University of Houston should be motivated, hard-working, and mostly dedicated.

The high school student probably was academic and extremely open minded to attend a University as diverse as this one. A person that attends this University should be willing to meet people from any place of the world and from any religion and/or ethnicity.

The typical University of Houston (UH) student worked hard in high school, but lacked financial backing from their parents. As a commuter school, UH enrolls students from the greater Houston area and international students from hundreds of nations.

The great thing about the University of Houston is that there is no typical UH student. The people here are so diverse, and you can probably find something in common with all of them. If you want to go to UH then go to UH that's the main thing all UH students have in common, we wanted to go here, so we did.

There is no typical person at UH. Everyone from everywhere in Houston comes to UH at different stages in life. It's not a party school; it's much more in touch with the real world.

A typical University of Houston student would have been a little bit different or unique in high school. They would have had the drive to want to learn more and if they didn't understand something they would have asked questions. They would have been outgoing and not afraid to converse with others because the people here are friendly and will talk to you. They type of people that should attend the University of Houston should be a person that likes a different scenery, loves all types of weather, enjoys being in a big city and big campus, enjoys talking to others, and eating great food.

I don't know how to answer the first question as I did not attend high school here in Houston, but I will answer the second one. The type of person that should attend University of Houston is one that actively participates and wants to get involved in things like student organizations, etc.

There is no "typical" student here. This is the 2nd most diverse colleges in the country, according to Forbes, with people from over 175 countries, all religions, ages, etc. So, any student that doesn't mind the diversity and who can get along with people would fit in good here. Due to the diversity of it, it's easy to find somewhere to fit in, and people here are very accepting of others.

Someone who is not afraid of diversity. This school is filled with all types of people from all types of backgrounds, so respect for other cultures is an important quality for someone attending UH. Another quality a person should have for attendance to UH is a good work ethic and pride for their school. The administration and student bodies at UH work really hard to bring great stuff for everyone who attends and in return the students have a lot of pride and put out just as much into their own work concerning their education and programs with the school.

U of H is very diverse, so it's open to anybody who is hardworking. It's a Tier One University now, so you can't just slide by in classes. There is always something going on on campus, from lectures to movies to parties, so there is very much a mentality of work hard, play hard.

A person who is more independent and hardworking. University is more tough the high school. A typical UH student in high school would have been more laid back. UH everything goes fast.
