Fairmont Preparatory Academy is a close-knit learning community where a culture of excellence, a diversified curriculum, and many talented and passionate educators give students a truly exceptional learning experience. We believe that students come first and always work towards meeting their individual needs. There is a high level of professionalism among the teachers and staff. They hold high expectations for themselves and their students. The success stemming from this accountability is remarkable. Academically, our students achieve some of the highest standardized test scores in Orange County.

Our unique and relevant college prep programs include International Business, Advanced Science and Engineering, International Baccalaureate, and Advanced Math. We excel in debate and academic pentathlon competitions. Led by professional engineers, Fairmont Prep’s Robotics Program explores the continuous progression of technology. Students blend creativity with physics, computer programming, science, engineering, and other academic principles to solve daunting technical challenges and build robots of their design.

Fairmont Prep’s College Prep (CP) curriculum gives students the preparation they need to be successful in collegiate courses by teaching them study methods, critical thinking, and organization tactics. All of our standard CP curriculum is University of California (UC) approved, and completion of our standard diploma curriculum qualifies our students acceptance to one or more UC campuses.

Fairmont Prep is committed to offering our students unique course options at every academic level to allow students to engage in curriculum that interests them. We offer a number of standard-level courses not commonly found in high school, including: Biomedical Ethics, Computer Science, Digital Multimedia, Fashion Design, Film, Forensics, and Speech.

The Prep Academy’s course offerings provide a variety of pathways for students to follow. Many students choose to take courses from various levels of instruction because this flexibility aligns more closely with their abilities.

A Highly Individualized High School Experience in Orange County Founded in 1993, Fairmont Preparatory Academy offers AP courses and an IB Diploma Program along with Advanced Math , Advanced Science and Engineering, and International Business. Students flourish in a close-knit community that balances rigorous academic coursework with a variety of sports, fine arts, performing arts, and extracurricular activities. Students receive a highly individualized high school experience that prepares them for success in top colleges and challenges them to become exemplary global citizens.

Typical Day Information

Fairmont Preparatory Academy’s Academic and College Counseling Program is unique by design to provide each student the individualized guidance he or she needs to succeed academically and find his or her best college fit. Our College & Counseling Center serves as a central hub for students and counselors. Students also have the opportunity to explore academic and college related information.
