Admission Information

Heronfield Academy, an independent middle school, is situated on 12 acres in Hampton Falls, NH. Our 12 acres were once part of an historic farm in Hampton Falls, which was originally well over 200 acres. For our facilities, we currently use two buildings, but own several barns and out-buildings that will someday be converted into classrooms, an assembly hall, and gymnasium. The two buildings, the Farmhouse (c.1790) and the Schoolhouse (a cow barn in the 50's), sit on beautiful land which houses our wonderful school of 80 middle school students and 15 faculty and staff. We are in our eighth year as a school and are thriving and established as a great option for middle school in the Seacoast NH region. Our students come from Southern Maine, Seacoast NH and NE Massachusetts. In a nutshell, Heronfield Academy is a school for 6th, 7th, 8th & post-8th graders who love school. In a world where there is a need for balance in a busy life as well as being innovative in education, Heronfield Academy offers both. Our graduates have a solid academic foundation from what they received in our dynamic and inspiring classrooms and from being part of a supportive and active community. Heronfield’s outstanding core curriculum includes math, science, English, Spanish, music, drama, visual arts, physical education & health. Our core values of Honesty, Respect, Diligence, Celebration and Caring are important and are integrated in all we do as well. We have an admissions process with the application, applicant writing sample, parent statement and supporting documents due on January 15. Please refer to the website under Admissions to find forms to download. Included in the application are 3 teacher recommendations, the SSAT (standardized admission test), and a personal interview. Please see to find out more about the SSAT and how to register. Please see under Admissions for more information about our admission process or call the Admission Office at 603-777-1336.
