St. Johns Lutheran School of Orange says

St. John’s Lutheran School is located in the community of Old Towne Orange. We are a private, Christian school that offers learning opportunities for children preschool through Grade 8, and is maintained and supported by St. John’s Lutheran Church. Enrollment is open to students of all faiths, nationalities and ethnic origins. St. John’s Lutheran School is here to partner with parents for the purpose of equipping students to make a difference in the world in which we live. Our school is committed to providing students with a learning environment where they learn about Christ’s saving promise and experience firsthand the love of Jesus Christ. We are here to equip students with the knowledge and skills that will help them lead productive lives within our community. Lives that make a difference in our city, state, country and world!

St. John’s Lutheran School provides the secure, nurturing environment that elementary school-age children need to explore and experiment. Our Christian-based programs strive to instill a life-long love of learning and a quest for knowledge among elementary school students from Kindergarten through 5th grade.

The energy of learning is apparent in St. John’s Middle School classes. It takes motivational and challenging curriculum, the strong moral values of a Christian-based education and the guidance of experienced Christian teachers to show them how to become responsible, independent, learners. Our Middle School is a three-year sequence for grades six through eight.

Our students study core academic subjects: English/writing, math, science, history, literature, and foreign language. Their education is enriched through additional classes in art, music, and physical education. St. John’s Lutheran School balances these academics with daily religious studies to build the moral character that these students will need to take their place as community leaders. Technology and the use of laptop computers are woven throughout the curriculum and instruction.

Sports Philosophy The philosophy of the St. John’s Lutheran School after-school sports program is an extension of the overall philosophy of the school. Through athletics we hope to prepare students for full participation in their adult lives. We, as coaches and school officials, seek to develop the values which determine the athletes relationship with self, others and ultimately with God. Participation in the St. John's organized sports program is voluntary. It is a privilege, and a participant has the responsibilities of courtesy and sportsmanship on the playing field and at school. St. John’s sees the organized sports experience as a platform for developing athletic, social and spiritual skills. St. John’s Lutheran School recognizes the value of participation in athletic activities, not only for physical fitness, but in sportsmanship, team-building and leadership development, as well. It is the intent of St. John’s to provide this opportunity to students who meet and maintain eligibility based on academic, behavioral, and physical qualifications.
