Oak Ridge Military Academy offers small class sizes, help classes, and a safe and structured learning environment. At Oak Ridge, our mission is to develop well-rounded young men and women who are equipped to succeed in college and have the self-discipline, integrity, and leadership skills necessary to reach their potential in life. To fulfill our mission, we need to establish your child as a student at ORMA.
Our project-based learning style enabled our small class sizes to provide each Cadet with the greatest opportunity to learn the way they learn. That is, we meet the student where he/she is at and build the skills to succeed in life. While a military academy, we employ military structure to form a child's self-discipline and esteem to move toward greater personal responsibility. Our focus as a college-preparatory school is to build Cadets as life-long learners prepared for universitys.
The mission of Oak Ridge Military Academy, a college preparatory school, is to provide an educational environment which stimulates curiosity, fosters scholarly competence, encourages academic excellence, rewards self-discipline, and develops leadership potential through student involvement in both the curricular and co-curricular educational process.
Private schools, including parochial and boarding, are funded through tuition and fees. The cost varies from school to school, but most families pay tuition to attend them. Many private schools offer financial aid or discounts, so it's worthwhile to ask about these options.
We staff an effective Cadet Wellness Center that offers both physical health services through our on-campus full time registered nurse, as well as emotional well-being provided by our on-campus therapeutic counselor. Our nurse operates under the protocols of urgent care physicians at a center within 5 minutes of the campus.
International Student Support Groups
Approximately 25% of the student body is international students. This provides a rich multi-cultural flavor to the learning environment and promotes life-long friendship that cross national borders.
Specialty Programs (ROTC, Accelerated Programs, Professional Development, etc.)
All High School Cadets are members of the Army JROTC program.
