St. John School is a part of the teaching mission of St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish, of Newburgh, Indiana. The school contains grades K through 8. The mission of the school will be threefold: to provide formal religious training in the doctrine, philosophy, and practice of the Catholic faith; to provide an academic environment that will help the student develop basic skills for learning and foster curiosity in behavior and thought; and to provide the student with skills of problem solving and responsible self-discipline which will serve as a foundation for future life experiences. In essence, the school will address the religious, academic and social development of the student in a manner consistent with the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Private schools, including parochial and boarding, are funded through tuition and fees. The cost varies from school to school, but most families pay tuition to attend them. Many private schools offer financial aid or discounts, so it's worthwhile to ask about these options.
