Tidewater School says

Welcome to The Tidewater School, a research-based, developmentally respectful and child-driven model of education. Our students are enthusiastic learners, fully respected as participants in their own education. They relish their freedom to make choices, to question, and to discover. They thrive in the structure and environment that their teachers carefully create to frame their studies. This zest for learning lays the foundation for a life-long intellectual journey. This approach to education is dynamic - and it works! Since 1986, our mission has been "Bringing Life to Learning." The Tidewater School provides an exceptional educational environment where children are esteemed and encouraged to grow into intelligent, compassionate and responsible human beings. The goal of The Tidewater School is to provide an organized program that enhances learning and movement to develop individual potential. This environment presents multi-sensorial tasks that stimulate the strengths and challenge the weaknesses of each child. Our students leave our program as thinkers and leaders, able to question, strategize and work toward a solution!
