Overview

Logan River Academy says

Logan River Academy is an established, premier residential treatment facility for male and female students ages 12-18. Our Boundary Model reflects our conviction that life is made up of boundaries, and learning to recognize and respond to those boundaries is integral to lifelong happiness and success. Our program strives to create a real-world atmosphere so that students learn and practice skills in a lifelike environment that translates directly to life after treatment. Over the years, Logan River Academy has developed several specializations which function under the umbrella of the larger program, including a Spectrum Program for boys and girls, a hybrid all-girls equine program, a transitional step-down therapeutic boarding school program for boys, and the traditional RTC model for which we are lauded in the industry. These niches offer all the attention and intensity of a small, specialized program while enjoying all the amenities of a larger program. These include a fully accredited traditional high school setting with a solid core curriculum that meets and exceeds all of state Department of Education requirements. With 1/3 of our faculty certified as Special Education teachers, we work seamlessly as a team member with each school district. This includes implementation of appropriate accommodations and provision of all IEP issues and feedback to school district case managers as needed. We also offer a large therapist selection and well-developed Adventure Learning program. Our therapists are pioneers within the field, working from a broad perspective of clinical theories and interventions to provide the most effective and individualized treatment possible for each student. Our staff psychiatrist and psychiatric nurse practitioner are on campus weekly and on call constantly to assist students with medication needs. We are a staff-secure campus, meaning that our internal doors are not locked but our 24/7 awake staff have constant eyes on all of our students which prevents AWOL risk. We maintain 10 acres of beautiful buildings and recreational opportunities for our students, as well. Our success with students over our history is well researched and documented, as we continue our work as an industry leader in residential treatment. Our private-pay rate for parents is $8,900 per month. This is all-inclusive, covering all therapy, psychiatry, nursing, school tuition, room, board, activities, and 24/7 supervision and mentoring.
