Extracurriculars

Whether it’s a powder puff football game, open mic night, an afternoon volunteering at the Boys & Girls Club, opening night of the school musical, or an outdoor intramural volleyball match, there is always something in motion at Darlington School. We encourage our students to get involved and become connected to both the school and local community through social and cultural activities as well as through servant leadership. Student life at Darlington finds its richness in its diversity. By their senior year, our students are likely to find themselves working and playing alongside others who have been here since pre-K as well as first-year residents from far-off countries like Germany or Korea. Competing in the Georgia High School Association, Darlington School fields varsity teams in 12 sports for boys and 14 sports for girls. Junior varsity teams are also available in most sports. GHSA teams include baseball, basketball, cheerleading, cross country, football, golf, lacrosse, soccer, softball, swimming and diving, tennis, track and field, volleyball, and wrestling. Outside of GHSA, student-athletes can participate in crew as well as year-round soccer, tennis and golf academies that enroll motivated student-athletes from around the world seeking an excellent college-preparatory education and elite training within a single, competitive program. Additionally, Darlington School offers a variety of visual and performing arts opportunities, including media arts, theatre arts, choral and instrumental music, and more. Student artists of all ages have been recognized for their talents, both locally and nationally. The school also offers a unique Instrumental Music Conservatory program that provides a full range of musical training that includes basic lessons, master classes, juried recitals and audition preparation. This program draws upon the expertise of local and regional performing artists. The best part is: When it comes to extracurricular activities, there’s time for everything at Darlington School. Some of the school's top athletes are also star musicians, vocalists and actors. At Darlington, you really can do it all!
