Heartwood Renaissance Academy says

HRA is a private specialty school for children in grades 5-12. Our purpose is to help those students who are not having success in a normal public or private school environments. We have enrolled over 275 students total since our inception in 2000.

Our classroom size ranges from one on one to small group, for the purpose of increasing the education skills level of each child. Every student is given their own education program that will best fit their needs and meet state requirements towards graduation. High school students are allowed to obtain the required credits in less than 4 years up through 6 years of high school. After attending Heartwood, students will either continue to graduation with us, or return to public or private schools.

We also offer summer tutoring for grades K-12 in Reading, English, Writing, Math and SAT for a modest fee. Go to our website for more information.

Social Studies, Art, Music, MDOT, Keyboarding and Beginning Tech, Health, PE, Bible Study, 40 hours of Community Service (chosen by
HRA staff)

Summer Tutoring Open to children in grades 1-8. Certified teachers will tutor in reading, math, spelling, writing, and English. Each child has the undivided attention of a teacher for one hour two times a week for 7 weeks. Heartwood has successfully helped over 100 children advance their learning skills through this summer program. Each child is evaluated to locate their weak and strong skill areas. Individual lessons are tailored made for each child. Registration begins April 6 and closes June 1. Registration fee is $10.00, Evaluation is $35.00 and the 2 sessions a week are $40.00 each week for 7 weeks. Tutoring begins the week of June 15 and ends July 31.
