Summit has received numerous awards and recognition on a local, state,and national level ( Preschool children through eighth graders thrive in small classes of only 18 students. Preschool is nationally accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (nullEYC). Elementary and Middle School are nationallyaccredited by the North Central AssociationCommission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI). An advanced math curriculum is taught with differentiated instruction and hands-on learning.Small reading groups allow every student to read and progress at their individual instructional level. Students excel with hands-on learning in classes dedicated to experimental, lab-based Science, a nationally-acclaimed Art architecture and design program, Music, Spanish, Technology, Physical Education,and Library classes. The preschool curriculum is research-based, developmentally appropriate, and taught by educated and experienced teachers. Every day, children are given the opportunity to participate in large and small group settings in dramatic play and choice time, and play on a beautiful and engaging playground designed just for preschoolers.
