As you explore Central Christian School, you'll discover we aren't comprised of a preschool and elementary school. Rather, we're a school for ages 3 through 6th grade. Our curriculum is designed so a child's experience is comprehensive from 3K, our youngest grade, through 6th grade graduation. Each year builds upon the year before it -- in curriculum, in scope and sequence, in our understanding of God's Great Story and the part we all play in it.
At each grade level our teachers weave seven curricular touchstones: Biblical Worldview, Backwards Design, Integral Design, Developmental Framework, Standards Based Instruction, Global Studies, and Biblical Story. Our integrated curriculum is mapped in theme-based units designed by a curriculum consultant especially for our school. Each curricular unit makes numerous connections across disciplines.
