Overview

Western Mennonite School says

Western Mennonite School is a fully accredited boarding and day school located just outside of the capital city of Salem, Oregon. We provide an educational experience centered around five key distinctives to equip students in grades 6 through 12 for a life of faith and learning. Established within a Christ-centered environment, our program focuses on students growing from their strengths and provides a setting for them to examine the significance of Christ’s teachings. We offer students the personal attention of a small school with the opportunities of a large school. Faculty and staff at WMS strive to help students realize their potential—academically, socially, and spiritually.

Curriculum

Students at Western Mennonite are prepared for a lifetime of learning by being challenged to develop analytical and critical thinking skills in a broad program of college/university preparatory, technological, practical arts, and fine arts courses. WMS commits to helping each student reach individual academic goals by offering modification and individual help as needed, and we promote the value and contributions of all people and cultures.

Mission Statement

The mission of Western Mennonite School is to equip students for a life of faith and learning by providing an educational experience highlighted by five key distinctions: Christ-centered, academic excellence, nurturing community, peace and service, and enrichment opportunities.
