New Leaf Academy says

New Leaf Academy is a private therapeutic boarding school for girls ages 10 through 15 at time of admission. New Leaf Academy offers a therapeutically supportive environment and the finest in remedial through advanced education in a homelike setting on our beautiful campus located in Bend, Oregon, at the foot of the Cascade Mountains. The boarding school program is year-round and generally lasts between 15 and 18 months. Within that time the student and her family work together with therapists and staff in our competency-based system which includes five focus areas: (1) Life Skills, (2) Academics, (3) Emotional Regulation, (4) Healthy Relationships and (5) Personal Development. This individualized, goal-oriented program instills motivation and confidence as all members of the family develop more effective ways of relating to one another. When a girl enrolls in the Academy, her parents and siblings do also, through active participation in family therapy and parent seminars and by monitoring student life at any time of the day or night through Family Bridge, our interactive internet portal for parents. Your child will receive continual individual attention and nurturing care. She will study in small classes and receive individual and group therapy from staff sensitive to her situation and needs. Most students move ahead academically by one to four grade levels in core subject areas during their time at New Leaf Academy. The Academy's highly structured environment with regular hours for classes, study and recreation enables students to focus and manage their time.
