The Paragon School's Full Profile

The Paragon School says

The Paragon School opened in August 2007 to meet the growing demand in Central Florida for specialized education programs to serve students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Asperger's Syndrome. The school provides a program of academic instruction centered on social skills development, brain based learning methods, and Christian values education. The Paragon School aspires to build a model of excellence in exceptional student education by combining research based methods with innovative strategies to help each student maximize his potential.

The Paragon School is an academic school that also provides therapies for students with ASD and Asperger's Syndrome. Therapies include occupational, speech, music, language processing, and martial arts. The high school offers two diploma tracks -- Academic and Vocational. Within the Academic track, a student works toward either a general education diploma or a college-prep diploma. A special diploma is earned on the Vocational track, where there is a heavy emphasis on vocational training with a wide variety of internship opportunities along with the standard academic subjects.

Private schools, including parochial and boarding, are funded through tuition and fees. The cost varies from school to school, but most families pay tuition to attend them. Many private schools offer financial aid or discounts, so it's worthwhile to ask about these options.
