The kindergarten program focuses on the importance of rhythm throughout the day, the week, and the seasons. This rhythm allows for smooth transitions between learning through imitation, playing games for physical development, experiencing nature, and gathering in a circle to hear the teacher tell a fairy tale or folk tale to engage the child’s imagination. The LifeWays toddler program strives to emulate a loving and healthy home life, with a curriculum focusing on the domestic arts such as: food preparation and cleaning, self-care through dressing and pottying, and care for others through nurturing the animals and garden. Class size is limited to 8 children per day. For more information about LifeWays see The summer camp is filled with the same gentle rhythm found in the school year and in addition, honors the spirit of the season with planting, tasting, and harvesting in the garden, picking flowers, growing bean-pole teepees and sunflower houses, outdoor games and crafts, and lots of water-play.
