Montessori Learning Path was founded in 1983 as a not-for-profit preschool and kindergarten. Our mission is to apply Montessori principles in a contemporary pre-school setting. Through this our goal is to prepare each child for life, in cooperation with parents, by providing a unique and stimulating educational environment, which fosters a love for learning. The Montessori philosophy holds that each child is unique with his or her own talents and abilities, and that each child's educational experience should foster the growth of the whole child: intellectually, physically, psychologically and morally. We emphasize the dignity of the child, the value of purposeful work, the development of order, language, concentration, independence, manners, courtesy, and cooperative learning. Montessori Learning Path mission is to prepare each child for life, in cooperation with parents, by providing a unique and stimulating educational environment which fosters a love for learning.
Private schools, including parochial and boarding, are funded through tuition and fees. The cost varies from school to school, but most families pay tuition to attend them. Many private schools offer financial aid or discounts, so it's worthwhile to ask about these options.
