Because a young mind is like a sponge, we introduce our students to a myriad of learning experiences.
Sacred Heart’s dedicated teachers are trained in differentiated learning, meaning same-age students at different levels are taught in different ways. Students may not all get the same homework and additional staff beef up instruction for challenged students as well as advanced learners.

At the 7-12th grade level Sacred Heart functions as a college prep school with core classes focusing on science and math. Many classes use college textbooks. Some juniors and seniors, in fact, often earn college credit. High School students are required to take two years of Spanish or Latin, and those in grades 11 and 12 study Calculus at the neighboring community and technical college. In the spring every student in grades 7-12 takes part in a week long “Beyond the Classroom” program where they may take a course not normally offered in our curriculum, such as sewing or robotics. Other students engage by job shadowing local professionals, where they witness careers ranging from pharmacy to electronics to computer-assisted drafting.
