West Memphis Christian's mission is to provide excellence in education in a safe, positive, Christian environment.
General curriculum is used to help children obtain a solid foundation beginning with our toddler room. PK3 and PK4 follow Abeka curriculum with many four olds reading before they enter Kindergarten. Grades K-2 follow Abeka for math and literacy; science and social studies are through publishers such as Houghton Mifflin with teachers supplementing their own material also to meet students' needs and interests. Grades 3-6 also use a variety of resources to meet educational needs, such as Abeka math, Journeys literacy, and Houghton Mifflin. K-6 receive Bible, art, music, library, and PE classes.
7-12 grades involves higher thinking and more application of knowledge in their classes. Curriculum is based on major publishers such as Houghton Mifflin with teachers supplementing for hands-on activities and strategies to engage students. WMCS is a one-to-one ipad school implementing advanced technology learning.
