San Domenico School says

At San Domenico, we believe that what students DO with their education is as important as their academic performance. Every day we encourage our students to not just study, but to also reflect on their learning, find their purpose, and celebrate in community, because an exception education, where values and academics join together, creates more than just great students - it develops great people.

San Domenico is a coeducational K through grade 12 day school with 618 students currently enrolled. Boarding is offered to High School students, and our student population includes children from the Bay Area and around the world. We are proud to welcome students who are ethnically, culturally, and geographically diverse.

Founded in 1850 by Dominican sisters, San Domenico is California’s first independent school. We feature innovative and rigorous academics informed by the Dominican values of study, reflection, service, and community. San Domenico was the first school in Marin County to implement a one-to-one iPad program, and is an Apple Distinguished School. San Domenico is a leader in educating ethical digital citizens, working closely with Common Sense Media to integrate technology into students' education.

Our stunning campus is located on a wooded, solar-powered 515-acre campus in Marin County, California, just 20 miles north of San Francisco. The campus includes state-of-the art academic facilities, a new athletic center & performing arts hall, an equestrian center, music conservatory, one-acre organic garden, gymnasium, swimming pool, and six tennis courts.
