St. Francis of Assisi School is not just a school--but a way of life. To this end, we work to create a Catholic Christian school, in order to convey the Gospel spirit of freedom, love and responsibility nurtured through prayer and worship. In our daily encounters with out students, we seek to embody the message of Jesus. We aspire to offer our students the guidance necessary to become active participants in that message while affirming their knowledge and understanding of it in their treatment of one another. We encourage our school community to reach out to the broader community in acts of service. Academically, we strive to instill in our students an enthusiasm for learning and a thirst for knowledge. Believing that self-discipline is necessary to engage in higher order thinking skills, we provide a structured environment that challenges students through independent activities as well as co-operative learning experiences. Adapting our teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles as well as abilities of our students, we adhere to the Archdiocesan curriculum requirements as guides to teaching basic skills.
Private schools, including parochial and boarding, are funded through tuition and fees. The cost varies from school to school, but most families pay tuition to attend them. Many private schools offer financial aid or discounts, so it's worthwhile to ask about these options.
