Rushton School is a campus-based school serving young people, ages 12 to 18 years, who are experiencing emotional conflict. Located on the campus of Gateways Residential Program and licensed by the State of Alabama Department of Education, Rushton School meets the educational and emotional needs of children through a team-oriented treatment approach. Students are assigned therapists who work with the family and the child simultaneously during placement. Therapeutic recreation, counseling, field trips and group work are also included in daily treatment activities.
