Curriculum

St. Michael’s High School is an independent, Lasallian Catholic preparatory school whose mission is to provide a quality education to young men and women. St. Michael’s draws its philosophy and inspiration from the Christian Brothers, whose reputation for excellence in education extends back to 1680. However, we are as relevant as we are historic, preparing curious youth to become extraordinary adults.

St. Michael’s offers all the advantages of a larger school, with all the benefits of a smaller, safe, and personalized environment. Our students are taught to think critically, to discover and analyze, and to communicate knowledge and understanding to others. We reach beyond academics and incorporate athletics, fine arts, faith, and service in an environment that challenges yet supports each individual student. With nine academic departments and more than 90 course offerings, St. Michael’s offers a rich, college preparatory curriculum with many opportunities for students to excel.

A broad selection of Advanced Placement and Honors courses, such as AP History, AP Calculus and AP English, allow students to pursue college-level studies. Additionally, St. Michael’s has relationships with colleges like Texas Tech University, Baylor University, and the Santa Fe University of Art and Design, to name a few, providing students the opportunity to earn college credit while still in high school.
