Outreach Christian Education's Full Profile

Outreach Christian Education says

Our desire is to be an extension of the Christian home by training young people in a Christ-centered environment. Throughout its history, Outreach has prided itself on being a top competitor in academics, providing a solid foundation on which students may build and excel, regardless of previous experience. We believe each student is our most precious commodity. Our class ratios are much smaller than other schools, which allow us to offer more one-on-one time with your children. Many times, students come to us from other schools, simply because they cannot get the help they require. They have been lost in the shuffle--have become just another statistic. At Outreach, we see each individual student as a blessing, and our desire is to equip them to reach their highest potential. These students are then able to receive the necessary help in their problem areas, and given the confidence needed to supersede their limitations. Our graduates have come from various backgrounds, cultural demographics, socio-economic standings, and prior educational experience. We are proud to say that our graduates have gone on to receive full scholarships to 4-year universities and have become professional athletes, entrepreneurs, accountants, law enforcement officials, healthcare professionals, ministers, missionaries, soldiers in the armed forces, educators, CTOs, and even Miss Earth United States. We take great pride in the fact that many of our alumni have chosen to return to OCE to pour their passion into equipping the next generation. We currently have 10 alumni serving at our 3 locations, and several others have returned to have their children educated and loved at OCE. Outreach is a family-owned and operated ministry of Jesus Christ. Margie and Jimmy McCartney founded the ministry, which is now being operated by their children, grandchildren, and "adopted" family--even the great-grandchildren have begun to roll in! Immediately upon entering Outreach, you become integrated into this incredible family as well. At OCE, we're more than just a school. We're a place like home.

We employ curriculum developed by Accelerated Christian Education. Our classes are all roughly at least a year ahead. Students are given a diagnostic test upon enrollment, at which point, we are able to pinpoint any problem areas for the student. The student will then be able to master those problem concepts at their own pace, while building confidence and reaching their potential. Slower learners are equipped and encouraged to overcome their struggles, while accelerated learners are challenged and urged toward success. We also integrate A Beka Social Studies in an open-book forum, as well as Write Shop to cultivate our writing skills.

Mission Statement

To be an extension of the Christian home in training young people in a Christian environment for time and eternity. The objective in building a private, Christian school is to obey the Scriptural imperatives of Deuteronomy 6:5-7: "You shall love the Lord YOUR God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might. These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your sons..."

Private schools, including parochial and boarding, are funded through tuition and fees. The cost varies from school to school, but most families pay tuition to attend them. Many private schools offer financial aid or discounts, so it's worthwhile to ask about these options.
