Tri-State Christian School was founded in 1992 by parents with a vision to create a Christian school in the Tri-State area. Tri-State Christian School is a non-denominational school educating students from Illinois, Iowa and Wisconsin in 4-year-old preschool through high school.
The mission and vision statements of Tri-State Christian School is that all truth is God's truth, The Christian Bible, as God's inspired Word, was given as a guide for faith and practice, An effective Christian education integrates biblical truth and principles into all classroom teaching and all school related activities.
The curriculum in the grade school is rigorous; we use an eclectic mix of publishers, which includes Saxon Math, BJU English, and ACSI Spelling and Bible. Spanish is taught in K5 through 3rd grade; Latin is taught in 4th through 6th grade.
The curriculum for junior high and high school is college preparatory. For the advanced diploma, students must complete 4 years of English, science, math, history, and Bible; one year of a foreign language; speech; and a number of electives. In addition, TSCS is partnering with several Christian colleges to offer on-line courses to juniors and seniors for dual enrollment credit.
Tri-State partners with parents and their churches to educate children from a biblical worldview for excellence in lifelong learning and Christian character.
Private schools, including parochial and boarding, are funded through tuition and fees. The cost varies from school to school, but most families pay tuition to attend them. Many private schools offer financial aid or discounts, so it's worthwhile to ask about these options.
