Oak Valley Center is an accredited Virginia Association of Independent Specialized Education Facilities (VAISEF) school, licensed to operate by the Virginia Board of Education as a Private Day School for Students with Disabilities.

Oak Valley Center is licensed to serve students ages 5-21 who are eligible to receive special education services under the classifications of Autism, Developmental Delay, Emotional Disability, Multiple Disability, Orthopedic Impairment, Other Health Impairment, Specific Learning Disability, and Visual Impairments including blindness.

Oak Valley Center’s staff includes highly qualified special education teachers, trained instructional assistants, behavior specialists, and licensed clinical mental health professionals. All staff members hold, or are actively pursuing, certification by the Virginia Department of Education or the appropriate licensing board.


Oak Valley Center’s comprehensive academic instruction is designed to meet the expectations of the Virginia Standards of Learning and Common Core Standards.
