Overview

Overview

Blessed Sacrament Huguenot Catholic School says

Blessed Sacrament Huguenot is the only co-ed Catholic, Preschool – 12th grade school in the greater Richmond area. We are committed to educating the whole child spiritually, academically, socially, emotionally, and physically. As a college preparatory school, we are proud of our consistent 100% college acceptance rate and our alumni regularly attest that Blessed Sacrament Huguenot prepared them well for college-level work.

Blessed Sacrament Huguenot is essentially four schools in one with our Early Childhood Program, Elementary School, Middle School, and High School. Small class sizes throughout every grade level ensure that teachers are meeting each student’s individual needs. While teachers are not teaching to a test, they are teaching students how to handle the tests of life. BSH provides a loving, loyal environment where the entire community of parents, teachers, and students is committed to academic and personal success.

Extracurricular activities, leadership opportunities, and athletics are important to students and we provide many opportunities for student involvement. Our impressive athletics program includes a variety of sports for boys and girls of every level, and includes seven state championship titles in the past five years. Here at BSH, we feel that each student deserves the opportunity to be on the team, from the middle school level through high school. Interscholastic competition is available for students beginning in 5th grade with many of our graduates continuing on to play at the collegiate level.

Our other offerings for extracurricular involvement include Model UN, Forensics, and Drama, just to name a few. Community service is an integral part of campus life and our students are taught the importance of giving back to our community. Our Big Brother/Big Sister program promotes mentoring and fosters relationships between our upper school and lower school students.

More importantly, Blessed Sacrament Huguenot offers a safe learning environment for students to receive an enriching, personalized education. Our small class sizes allow our teachers to meet our students’ needs and help maximize their personal growth. As a Catholic school, we welcome students of all faiths as we promote Christian faith and values.
